Purchased a $25 evaluation and my account was permanently banned before I even placed a single trade. I wasn’t given a clear reason for the decision, my appeal was denied, and my refund request was also rejected. Very disappointing experience and a lack of transparency in handling customer accounts.

Apex Trader Funding seems to me one of the best-known options in the market, but also one of the most difficult to trade consistently due to its risk management rules. The main problem is, without a doubt, the **Intraday Trailing Drawdown**. Instead of allowing the trader to focus solely on the market, this rule forces you to be constantly aware of the available drawdown level. Each time the account reaches a new high during the session, the loss limit adjusts automatically, making giving back part of a profit—something completely normal in many strategies—potentially result in a rule violation, even when the trade is still profitable. In practice, this enormously conditions the trader's psychology. It's common to find yourself closing positions early, avoiding letting winners run, or modifying the initial plan simply out of fear of losing the available margin. Instead of managing the trade according to price action, you end up managing the account based on drawdown, and that rarely favors quality trading. This structure also particularly harms those who make larger intraday trades or seek to capture wide movements. A trade can advance strongly, pull back in a healthy manner, and subsequently continue to the target. At Apex, that intermediate pullback can be enough to breach the drawdown and lose the account, even though the market read was completely correct. As a consequence, the rules themselves end up incentivizing a much shorter and more conservative trading style, close to scalping, regardless of whether or not that is the trader's natural strategy. Not everything is negative. Apex offers a wide variety of account sizes, very aggressive promotions during much of the year, compatibility with widely used platforms like NinjaTrader and Tradovate, and a very large user community. These advantages make it an attractive company from a commercial standpoint. However, when comparing the rules with those of other prop firms, Apex gives the impression of prioritizing the protection of its capital over providing a comfortable environment for the trader to develop their strategy. For many traders, a static drawdown or a trailing calculated only at session close is much more logical and allows focusing on what really matters: trading the market and not the rules. **Final rating: 4/10.** Apex can be a good option for traders with very specific or very short-term strategies, but I consider that its rules, especially the Intraday Trailing Drawdown, make it one of the most demanding and least flexible prop firms for maintaining natural and consistent trading.

I’ve been trading with Apex for a year, trying to pass the challenge and get a payout. When I finally made it, Apex DID NOT PAY ME! I met all the conditions. There was only one last step left – to verify my identity. During the verification process, the system mysteriously stopped working, and I couldn't upload my ID. I contacted support. They replied three days later and terminated my account. After that, they ghosted me completely. They shut down my account and blocked the email addresses I was writing to them from. It took me a year to achieve this. They were taking my money for challenges and funded accounts for a whole year, and when it came to the payout, they canceled everything.

Apex is one of the best futures prop firms Ive used, the trading rules are clear, the platform is reliable, and the support team is responsive whenever I need help. Overall, a great experience and a solid choice for futures traders

Worst firm in industry, Don't waste your time and money with them. I faced multiple issues since they have started EOD program. Earlier they used to fine but they have gone worse in last couple of months. Issues: 1. Don't expect response from support for weeks 2. minimum 10 days to get your payout processed. 3. No clear rules. Their EOD program suggests that max 6 payout and no Live but after even 2nd 3rd payout they move you to Live. 4. Once they move you to Live they don't repond for months. It's been over a month for me without any update. so don't get into trap that they allow 20 PA accounts. Do you homework and read more current reviews before deciding. I personally am not going to trade with them in future. I also know a buch of traders because of similar issues who are thinking of filing law suits againt them and report to authorites.

My experience with this company and Tradovate was disappointing. My stop order wasn’t triggered during the funded stage, but it worked fine during the evaluation. This resulted in a significant loss of $1,500 and five consecutive losses. Upon visiting the customer service department, I encountered a lack of assistance in resolving my summit ticket issue. Despite my efforts, I was not able to speak with a representative until two days later, when the problem was attributed to the broker and no resolution was provided.

I found Apex as one of the most reliable prop firms on the social media, and that's the reason I tried it. After trying it by myself, I found it attractive with trader friendly rules, however their website's interface is not good. Being the OG in the industry, they should have a better website and most importantly the payout speed, its the slowest among all. However the ability to trade 20 accounts at one time covers the delayed payout processing.
