I went with The 5ers based on their past reputation, but recent issues like payout delays, mandatory pre-payout interviews, and cheap promotional offers show they aren't the same firm. Worse, they have a trap built into their scaling program. 1. Forced Scale-Up & Locked Profits: I passed a $25k futures account and hit a 10% profit. This automatically triggered a scale-up. After their 20% split, my remaining earnings ($1,000+ USD) were locked inside the new scaled account rather than being paid out. 1. The 4% Trap & Zero Cushion: To request a payout on the scaled account, they force you to hit a new 4% profit target. However, while trading toward this, I breached the account. Crucially, they locked my previous real profits but refused to let me use those same profits as a risk cushion/buffer above the drawdown level. 3. Total Wipeout: Because of a breach on the new scaled tier, they wiped my entire previous profit balance ($1,000+ USD) down to $0. They trap your earnings by forcing a scale-up, refuse to let you use your own money as a safety buffer, and then confiscate everything. I went through a 13-email back-and-forth with their support and risk management teams, and they completely hid behind rigid rules, stating that any breach on a scaled phase voids past payouts entirely. Conclusion: Traders, be careful. Do not let them force a scale-up. If you hit 9%, just withdraw your profits and walk away. Avoid the 10% trap that lets them swallow your earnings. You lost a customer, The 5ers.
