Due to a highly misleading and defamatory statement issued by the firm regarding this situation, we find it necessary to share the details behind our decision and set the record straight.
Here’s the background:
Earlier this year, we noticed a sharp and unusual spike in reviews submitted for ETF. As with all firms listed on Prop Firm Match, reviews are manually verified using a combination of human checks and automated safeguards to catch potential manipulation or abuse.
During this process, several red flags were triggered. Upon internal investigation, we discovered that ETF had launched an incentivized campaign, offering 5,000 reward points in exchange for writing reviews. While incentives may seem harmless, they fundamentally compromise the integrity of user feedback—something we take very seriously. Our guidelines have always prohibited incentivized reviews, and we’ve applied that standard consistently across all firms.
As a result, we informed ETF that reviews submitted during this period—most of which lacked depth, showed repetitive phrasing, and leaned disproportionately positive—would not be published. ETF acknowledged the issue and accepted our decision at the time.
Separately, we raised concerns about how affiliate commissions were being tracked on their end, as the reported figures were significantly lower than what our data suggested. After disagreement around this over time, we requested the use of a neutral third-party tracking tool—something we’ve used with other firms to ensure transparency and fairness for all parties. However, ETF declined our request and ultimately chose to end the partnership, referring to the two situations outlined above as justification.
As a result, when launching Prop Firm Match Futures, we clearly decided not to continue listing this company.
We want to be clear on one key point: Listing a firm with which we don’t have an affiliate agreement is not an option for Prop Firm Match. Prop Firm Match is a business, and like any business, we need revenue to operate. We have a large team that works tirelessly to create tools that give traders more clarity, efficiency, and support in their prop firm journey. And we fully intend to keep doing so. That wouldn’t be possible without revenue.
With that said, we’re proud to have fundamentally changed how review sites in this space operate and earn revenue. Before Prop Firm Match, the industry standard was to charge firms for listings, premium placement, or even positive reviews. We ended that. We do not accept payments for listings, visibility, or any form of review manipulation. Nothing you see on Prop Firm Match is based on our subjective opinion. We rely solely on affiliate commissions, earned only when a trader makes an independent choice based on objective data and verified trader reviews on our platform, regardless of which firm they choose. It’s a model built on fairness.
Our commitment is to traders. That means holding firms to high standards of transparency, trader-friendliness, and financial integrity. We’ll keep building innovative, revolutionary tools that give traders more insight, protection, and control. Our focus will always be on supporting traders and pushing the prop firm industry toward a fairer, more transparent future.
