1-Star Review – Extremely Disappointed & Warn Others I purchased my first funded trading account from Goat Funded Trader with high hopes. The challenge rules were quite trader-friendly compared to many other prop firms — decent drawdown limits, reasonable profit targets, and the ability to trade news events. I also liked that they offered a $100k funded account option and promised an 80/20 profit split, which motivated me to join. The platform (MT5) worked smoothly with fast execution during the time I could trade. Unfortunately, the risk detection system and complete lack of support after the breach ruined the overall experience.
The extremely poor customer service and complete lack of support after a breach flag. My account (Breach ID 414792477) was permanently banned and my $6000 payout rejected based on what appears to be an automated false positive (15 trades with similar timing). Despite multiple emails over 8+ days, the Risk Team gave zero response or proper manual review. Even after one of their own affiliates admitted it looked like a system error, they still refused to reinstate the account or release any funds. The total silence and final “permanent ban with no appeal” approach left me feeling completely helpless, especially after I borrowed money to purchase the account. This experience was very disappointing and stressful.

What attracted me the most to the firm was the drawdown reset rules for the Pay After model and the plans it features.
What I absolutely dislike is how completely unfair this measure is, considering that I am the only one trading on my account, yet my payout was denied. I am now extremely hesitant to purchase a new challenge because since I wasn't paid, I fear this will happen again. I trade for a living, and being denied my payout impacts me completely.

I have two accounts with GFT one is instant and one is 1 step challenge. The entry fee is moderate and within range. The challenge rules are clear.
