My Experience with Moneta Funded – Third Payout Withheld, Funded Account Terminated, Active Challenge Accounts Canceled Without Refund, and Permanently Banned from the Platform I am writing this review to document my personal experience with Moneta Funded so that other traders can make their own informed decision before purchasing challenge accounts. Over several months, I purchased multiple Moneta Funded challenge accounts and successfully completed one of the evaluations, resulting in a funded account. During my time with Moneta Funded, I successfully received my first two payouts. On July 2, 2026, I submitted my third payout request in the amount of $1,121.00 through Rise. Rather than processing the payout, Moneta Funded delayed the request and later informed me that I was required to complete a mandatory interview with their Risk Team before my payout would be considered. I questioned why the interview was required. Moneta Funded responded that the interview was a recent addition to its routine Risk and Compliance process and specifically stated that it was not because they had identified abusive activity or concerns with my account. They explained that the interview was intended to better understand their traders, strengthen relationships with members of the Moneta Funded community, and that they had updated their FAQ and Terms & Conditions to reflect this new process. To the best of my knowledge, when I purchased my challenge accounts and ultimately earned my funded account, there was no published requirement stating that a trader would be required to successfully complete a mandatory Risk Team interview before receiving an otherwise valid payout. This interview requirement was introduced after I had already purchased my challenges and progressed through the program. Based on Moneta Funded's explanation, I attended the interview in good faith. During the interview, I was repeatedly asked to explain historical trades and demonstrate my trading strategy by analyzing trades that had already occurred. My trading methodology focuses on evaluating current market conditions rather than attempting to recreate my thought process after the market has already changed. I attempted to explain this during the interview and later followed up with a detailed email containing annotated screenshots explaining my entry, stop loss, take profit, risk-to-reward ratio, and overall reasoning behind one of my trades. Following the interview, Moneta Funded terminated my funded account. The reason provided was not that I had violated a specific published trading rule. Instead, I was told that my trading allegedly demonstrated characteristics of "rule optimization," "gamification," and did not reflect what they considered genuine discretionary trading. Throughout my correspondence with Moneta Funded, I repeatedly requested that they identify the specific published trading rule, policy, or contractual provision that I had allegedly violated. Despite multiple requests, I was never provided with an explanation identifying a specific published rule that they claimed I had breached. Instead, I received general statements referring to "rule optimization," "behavioral pattern recognition," "statistical modeling," and "gamification." Initially, Moneta Funded offered only to refund the fee I had paid for the challenge that resulted in my funded account while permanently terminating my funded account. After additional correspondence, they changed their position and agreed to process my pending payout only if I signed a broad Waiver and Release Agreement. I reviewed the proposed waiver and declined to sign it. Among other provisions, the waiver required me to: • Acknowledge that Moneta Funded acted within its contractual rights. • Acknowledge that I had received sufficient explanation regarding their decision. • Release virtually every claim relating to my entire relationship with Moneta Funded. • Waive my right to pursue chargebacks. • Agree not to publish negative reviews or statements concerning Moneta Funded or the dispute. • Accept permanent exclusion from the Moneta Funded program. I could not agree to these terms because they directly conflicted with the position I had consistently maintained throughout the dispute. Moneta Funded later informed me that my participation in the program was permanently terminated and that I would never again be eligible to participate in Moneta Funded. This decision also affected my remaining challenge accounts that I had previously purchased. Moneta Funded informed me that these challenge accounts would not be refunded, despite permanently ending my participation in the program. At the time they made this decision, my understanding was that these challenge accounts remained within the published trading rules and had not breached the permitted drawdown limits or other trading requirements. Nevertheless, Moneta Funded advised that my participation in those accounts would also come to an end without reimbursement of the fees I had paid. Based on my understanding of the published trading rules that applied to my accounts, I believe I complied with those rules throughout my participation in the program. Had Moneta Funded identified a specific published rule that I violated, this situation would have been very different. My concern is that my funded account was permanently terminated, my remaining challenge accounts were effectively ended without refund, and I was asked to sign a broad waiver while never being informed of a specific published trading rule that my trading allegedly breached. For those considering Moneta Funded, I encourage you to carefully review their Terms & Conditions, understand the scope of any waiver they may ask you to sign, and keep detailed records of all communications, purchases, payouts, and account activity.
