GENERAL RULES

Minimum Trading Days

  • Evaluation: 5 days in each phase | To count as a trading day, the trade must remain open for at least 1 minute | No minimum trading days with add-on
  • Funded: None

News Trading

  • Evaluation Accounts: No Restriction
  • Funded Accounts: No trades may be executed on affected instruments within 5 minutes before or after major news events (including pending orders, SL, and TP). Profits made during this 10 min window will be deducted (This is a soft breach), but losses are not compensated. Positions opened more than 5 minutes before the event may be held and modified, though an SL or TP filled within the window still counts as a soft breach. Trades open for at least 48 hours are exempt from profit deduction. Non-targeted instruments can be traded normally.

Copy Trading

  • Copy trading is allowed only between accounts you personally own (BrightFunded, other prop firms, retail broker). copying trades between different owners’ accounts is strictly prohibited.

  • BrightFunded’s partnership with Prop Firm One enables you to extend your copy trading capabilities even further. PF1 allows traders to seamlessly copy trades across different proprietary firm accounts within a single platform, offering increased flexibility and a broader range of opportunities. This means that, in addition to BrightFunded’s internal copy trading feature, PF1 empowers users to manage trades across multiple firms, enhancing scalability and trading efficiency without breaching BrightFunded’s core rules. For more details on this enhanced functionality, visit PropFirmOne.com.

Expert Advisors (EAs)

  • Allowed but must align with trading conditions and rules
  • While EAs are allowed, not all third-party EAs are compatible with BrightFunded's platform environment.
BrightFunded does not guarantee compatibility or performance of any external EA, and are not responsible for issues caused by non-compatible EAs

Max Position Size

  • 50 lots per order for FX and indices
  • 20 lots per order for XAUUSD

Server Request Limitation

  • There is a limit of 100 orders you can enter at a time, 2000 modifications of TP/SL and orders per day.
  • The maximum position limit per day is also 2000.

Risk Management

  • Risking your entire daily drawdown on a single trade is not permitted.
  • Engaging in prohibited trading practices will result in termination from our program and a refund of the fee paid from the account where this rule was broken.

Hedging

  • Hedging across multiple accounts, even those belonging to the same trader, is strictly prohibited.

Trade Duration

  • You cannot hold more than 50% of your trades for under one minute.

Risk Exposure Limitation

  • E8 reserves the right to de-risk trading strategies by limiting risk exposure to no more than 1% per trade idea or time horizon if prohibited practices are detected.

Other prohibited practices

E8 Trader Stage Account Exceeds Profit Threshold

  • If your account's profits surpass the Dynamic Drawdown value, you can request a payout of all profits earned. However, you should leave a drawdown buffer in the account to continue trading. If you withdraw all your profits, it will result in the closure of the account.

E8 Pro

  • 2% Daily Profit cap: In each day, the maximum profit you can make is 2%. If you make more, only 2% will be counted towards your profit target.
  • Static Drawdown: The drawdown does not trail upward and remains fixed at your starting balance until your first payout is requested. Once the first payout is processed, the drawdown is locked at the initial balance level. For every payout request, 50% of the profits are paid out to you, while the remaining 50% stays in the account as a buffer to help maintain the drawdown threshold.

EAs (Expert Advisors)

  • Allowed: You can also use any EA (Expert Advisor) as long as we don't see multiple users executing the same trades/strategy. We limit one strategy per user, so if we see multiple users utilize the same EA, it may lead to the termination of your account. So even though the use of third-party EA is allowed, we recommend that each user use their own programmed EA.

News Trading

  • News Trading: Allowed on E8 One evaluation stage and E8 Pro.
  • Not allowed in E8 One Funded stage 5 minutes before or after high-impact news.

Inactivity

  • After 60 days of inactivity, the account is disabled and there is no entitlement to a refund.

  • To prevent micro-scalping and high-frequency strategies, all trades must be held for a minimum of 20 seconds. Violation may result to account termination

Hedging Policy

  • Hedging is not permitted; traders may not hold simultaneous long and short positions in the same instrument to offset risk.

Partial Closes & Trading Day Counting

  • Partial closes are allowed but cannot be used to artificially inflate trading days or meet Minimum Trading Day or Consistency requirements. A trading day only counts once the entire position is fully closed — a position remains active until all volume is closed.

Overnight Positions

  • Positions may be held overnight, but the original position size must remain fully intact to carry into the next trading day. This prevents artificial creation of trading days through partial closes. Attempts to manipulate trading day counts may result in affected profits being excluded or other corrective action at Tradeify's discretion.

Inactivity Policy

  • Accounts that remain inactive for 30 consecutive days may be terminated; at least one trade must be placed within every 30-day period to maintain account activity.

VPN/VPS/IP Policy

  • VPNs and VPS are allowed and can help with connection stability and execution speed. However, accounts must remain personal. Account sharing or group trading is strictly prohibited, and VPN/VPS may not be used to mask it. Multiple or overlapping IP logins may trigger additional verification, including proof of VPN/VPS setup or a verification interview.

Prohibited Strategies

  • Latency arbitrage, news straddling, group trading, or HFT, Hedging, Cross-account hedging, opposite/reverse trading between accounts, account sharing or third-party management, trade coordination to circumvent risk controls, exploiting platform/pricing/execution errors, and any strategy designed to bypass the evaluation rules.

  • This rule applies to One Only accounts only

Prohibited Practices

  • Bracketing Strategies: Placing pending buy and sell orders around the market price ahead of major news releases to capture volatility spikes

  • Gambling or One-Sided Trading Behavior: Trading behavior that resembles gambling, such as oversized positions, repeated one-directional exposure, or attempts to pass an evaluation through a small number of high-risk trades

  • Martingale strategies

  • Hedging & Opposing Positions: Opening opposing positions on the same symbol (or highly correlated symbols), either within a single account or across multiple accounts, in a manner intended to manipulate performance metrics or bypass risk limits

Minimum Trading Days

Crypto - Evaluation:

  • None | Funded: 3 days of 0.5% Profit each day

News Trading

  • Executing orders (including TP, SL, and limit orders) within 5 minutes before and 5 minutes after high-impact news events on affected pairs is prohibited. Any profits made within this window will be removed, as a soft breach. Frequent and severe violation may result in account reset, trading restrictionss or account termination.
  • The official source for tracked high-impact news releases and exact timings is the calendar located in your Leveraged Dashboard.

Expert Advisors (EAs)

  • EAs are permitted only if they are risk management tools (stop-loss, take-profit, trailing stop, position sizing), copy trading EAs where you solely manage all linked accounts, or self-developed EAs built and controlled by you that don't fall under prohibited strategies. Commercial EAs — purchased, rented, licensed, or publicly distributed — are strictly prohibited, regardless of modifications.
  • Self-developed EA may be fully automated.

Copy Trading

  • Copy trading is permitted across your own accounts, whether held with Leveraged, another prop firm, or a retail broker. Copy trading between accounts owned by different individuals (including family or friends) is strictly prohibited.

2-Minute Holding Rule

  • Every trade must remain open for at least 2 minutes from execution. Occasional early closes due to volatility or manual error are generally tolerated, but frequent violations will be flagged by the Risk Team and may result in account termination.

Inactivity Rule

  • Accounts inactive for more than 30 days are considered dormant and closed. At least one trade must be opened within every 30-day period to keep the account active.

Prohibited Strategies

  • Execution abuse and technical exploitation
  • High-frequency trading, tick scalping, and repetitive micro-duration trading, Latency arbitrage and exploitation of stale prices, delayed feeds, or off-market pricing, excessive order submission, modification, or cancellation, server spam, or platform stress.

News, Event, and Market-Closure Exploitation

  • Trading within the restricted high-impact news window, news straddling/bracketing, volatility-sniping around releases, layered/opposing/conditional pending-order structures for event movement, and gap trading on market reopen after closures.

Hedging, Coordinated, Mirrored, and Cross-Account Trading

  • Holding offsetting or hedged positions within the same account overnight, hedged/reverse/opposite positions across different accounts, copy trading or mirrored execution between different individuals, and coordinated groups, shared infrastructure, or networks that neutralize market risk while preserving payout upside — whether within Leveraged, other prop firms, retail brokers, signal groups, or trade copiers.

Third-Party Control and Signal Copying

  • Signal copying and externally dictated entries/exits, managed-account/pass-your-account/rented-strategy arrangements, running a strategy that isn't your own (including purchased or third-party EAs), and trade copiers or shared trading rooms where you aren't the true originator.

Program Gaming and Payout Farming

  • Rolling exposure across accounts, firms, or brokers to run excessive combined risk, structuring trades primarily to meet payout-eligibility rather than to trade genuinely, account churning or using accounts as disposable payout-extraction units, and sequencing all-or-nothing risk across accounts to harvest payouts statistically.

Trade-Idea Concentration and Payout-Metric Manipulation

  • Splitting or re-timing positions to disguise the size, risk, or concentration of one trade idea, closing and reopening exposure to reset or obscure risk, and structuring partial closes, trade timing, or artificial profitable days to manipulate consistency, profit-distribution, or payout-eligibility metrics.

Grid, Martingale, and Recovery Trading

  • Grid trading, martingale or anti-martingale escalation, increasing size or exposure after losses primarily to recover them, and repeated averaging into losing exposure without a genuine discretionary thesis.

Multiple-Account and Identity Abuse

  • Duplicate or additional registrations used to farm payouts or exceed entitlement, trading under another person's identity (or letting another trade under yours), and concealing identity, ownership, funding source, account control, device control, or strategy control.

System and Integrity Abuse

  • Exploiting system errors, bugs, display issues, delayed data, or abnormal pricing, using software or workflows that manipulate or misuse the platform, and circumventing geographical, technical, identity, ownership, or security restrictions.
  • See details

If you cross the line

  • Responses are based on severity, repetition, evidence, and context, and may include:
  • Risk review or request for information, verification, or an interview.
  • Removal of affected profits or exclusion of trades from payout eligibility.
  • Payout denial.
  • Restriction of trading permissions or payout eligibility.
  • Conditions on continued access.
  • Account termination.
  • Refusal of future services.
  • Any other action under the Terms and Conditions.

Note:

  • Not every case is handled the same way — some trigger a review while clear cases may result in immediate action. Warnings or interviews are not guaranteed, and a prior payout or lack of prior contact does not mean activity has been approved.

VPN/VPS/IP Policy

  • VPN and VPS use is permitted, provided you remain the verified account holder with sole control of all trading activity. They may be used for stable connections or running self-developed EAs.

Prohibited:

  • sharing access, concealing identity or location, bypassing geographic/security restrictions, or facilitating group trading or copy-trading networks. Leveraged may request IP logs to verify genuine ownership.
