Price Limit Rule:

  • Traders are prohibited from trading any product within 2% of a CME price limit

Dollar Cost Averaging:

  • DCA is allowed provided it’s not your primary trading strategy.

Account Rolling:

  • Purchasing and trading multiple challenge accounts aggressively with the hope of suceeding in atleast one is prohibited.

AI and Bots:

  • Fully automated trading using AI or bots is not permitted. We want to see traders applying their skills rather than relying on algorithms to do the work.

Order Fill Manipulation:

  • Placing multiple limit orders at the same price to manipulate order fills is strictly forbidden. This disrupts the fairness of our environment.

Exploiting Market Gaps:

  • Attempting to profit from isolated fills in gapped or illiquid markets goes against the spirit of fair trading. We expect traders to avoid taking advantage of these market conditions.

Account flipping:

  • Any pattern of trading activity involving a payout request, account breach, followed by another payout request, breach, and so on, is not allowed. This is an example of flipping. A trader’s goal should be to reach and maintain a sustainable live account.

No Slippage Exploitation:

  • Using tight brackets and exploiting the absence of slippage to gain an unfair advantage is prohibited. Trading should mimic real-world conditions as closely as possible.

Hedging or reverse trading:

  • Hedging and reverse trading cannot be conducted using different accounts, multiple users, or within the same challenge.

Multiple Countries Access:

  • Traders accessing their accounts from multiple countries (e.g., a trader logging in from the USA and then Vietnam) may be flagged for potential account sharing or unauthorized account management.

IP sharing:

  • Multiple accounts belonging to different traders using the same IP address is prohibited.

Copy Trading:

  • Copying trades from other traders’ accounts is prohibited. However, you are allowed to copy trades between your own accounts without any restrictions.

Collaborative Trading:

  • Coordinating with others to execute the same or opposite strategies across multiple accounts, often known as “Group Trading,” is not allowed. Each trader should trade independently.

News trading:

  • News trading restrictions apply to all funded accounts. But violating this will no longer be a hard breach. If a trade lands inside a restricted news window, that trade will simply be voided.

Prohibited Activities:

  • Straddles/strangles or disguised news trades to exploit volatility.

For Tier 1 news

  • All trades must be closed at least 2 minutes before the news release.
  • Trades can only be reopened no sooner than 2 minutes afterward the news have ended (we also consider 2 minutes of news duration for a total of 6 minutes, 2 before and 4 after the release of the data)

For non-Tier 1 news

  • Open trades can remain, but new trades around (just before, during, or immediately after) the event are discouraged to avoid volatility risks.

Inactivity Rule:

  • Standard inactivity rule: Accounts are terminated if no trade is placed for 29 days.

For Instant accounts purchased after November 23, 2025:

  • Must place at least one trade every 7 days, or the account will be breached.
  • Accounts remain active with recurring monthly payments, even without trades, but regular activity is encouraged to avoid termination.
  • Terminated accounts can be recovered by settling all outstanding payments (requires prior contact for pauses due to special reasons)

Trading Hours:

  • Futures trading operates from 6:00 PM EST to 4:55 PM EST the following day. For example, if the Futures market opens at 6:00 PM EST on Monday, the trading session will run until 4:55 PM EST on Tuesday, marking the close of that day’s session. The Futures market is closed from Friday at 4:55 PM EST until Sunday at 6:00 PM EST. There may also be scheduled closures for holidays, which will be announced in advance.

Position Closing Requirement:

  • If trades are not closed by 4:55 PM EST, the system will automatically liquidate them. Ensure all trades are closed on time to maintain control over your positions.

Overnight Positions:

  • Overnight positions are not permitted. All positions must be closed by 4:55 PM EST daily.

Scalping Rule:

  • FuturesElite allows microscalping within certain limits:
  • Trades executed in less than 10 seconds (Min 11 seconds).
  • Trades equal to or less than 1 points on NQ (Nasdaq 100) futures or the equivalent on other instruments.

Evaluation:

  • If scalping trades exceed 50% of the target, the account will not be eligible for an upgrade to a funded account.

Sim Funded:

  • Scalping transactions on funded accounts do not trigger a violation.
  • Scalping trades are not removed from your payout request, but they will be removed from your leftover profit/buffer chosen by the user. If the scalped amount is higher than the remaining buffer, the account will be breached.
  • Fair Play and Prohibited Trading Practices Explained
  • If prohibited trading practices are detected at FuturesElite, the account may be immediately terminated without warning, any profits from those practices will be voided, and passed evaluations may be reviewed to prevent progression to the funded phase

Giveaway accounts Rules

  • Giveaway accounts follow the same guidelines and rules as all other accounts. The only difference is in the payout cap, which is set at 2%, the profit target at 8% and the days between payouts set at 21, regardless of the plan or account size, and the consistency is set at 50% and set only in the challenge phase of your account.

60%OFF

News Trading

  • Not Allowed - All positions are auto-closed 2 minutes before Tier 1 news releases and markets reopen 2 minutes after. No account failure for accidental news trades, but traders found to be ignoring these guidelines and abusing the policy will lose their account. Traders can view the Tier 1 data release calendar, the Investing.com Economic Calendar, and the CME Calendar in the TradeDay Members area.

Copy Trading Rule

  • Copy trading is permitted across your own evaluation and funded sim accounts. Trades can also be copied from a personal external account into your TradeDay account. Funded Live and Funded Sim accounts must be traded separately, copy trading between them is not permitted. Copy trading between 2 or 3 Funded Sim accounts only is allowed.

Consistency Rule

  • Profits during one single trading day should not exceed 30% of the profit target. There is no consistency objective for funded traders.

Expert Advisors

  • Expert advisors are allowed; however, algos and bots purchased from a third party and employed by the trader are forbidden. If multiple users are making the same trades, then all the accounts will be shut down and the users suspended.

Gap Trading

  • Entering trades specifically in gapped, illiquid markets to benefit from isolated/stray fills are not allowed.

Hedging prohibited

  • Simultaneously going long in one account and short in another account in the same product.

VPN Usage

  • Using a VPN or VPS to mask the location of trading is not allowed.

High Frequency Trading (HFT)

  • Using automated trading systems designed to scalp at an extremely high frequency is prohibited.

  • Strategies that produce more than 200 trades in a day is prohibited.

  • Not allowed to use any trading strategy intended to exploit or create errors in the services, such as errors in the display of prices or delays in their updates.

  • Trading an excessive or unrealistic number of contracts in the day is not allowed.

Inactivity rule

  • TradeDay does not charge inactivity fees or have minimum trading requirements.
  • However, Tradovate has its own account inactivity system. If a user does not log into their Tradovate account for more than one calendar month, Tradovate will automatically archive the account. When this happens, the account is removed from the trading platform and cannot be recovered by the firm or reactivated. At this time the account will be considered failed, and a user will need to purchase a reset or buy a new account if they wish to continue trading.

Circuit Breaker Rule

  • Funded Traders are not permitted to trade within 2% of a price limit. Traders in breach of this policy will lose their funded account.

Drawdown Lock

  • The trailing max drawdown trails upward until it reaches the starting balance, then locks permanently. Applies to evaluations and Funded Sim accounts.

Expert Advisors

  • Personal automated strategies and EAs are allowed on EOD, One Day Pass, Flex and Instant Classic, as long as they are consistent with your trading style and do not exploit system vulnerabilities, latency, or data feed anomalies. Strategies designed to manipulate the simulated environment rather than reflect genuine market trading are prohibited.

Prohibited Strategies

Breaching any rule below may result in a warning, profit adjustment, account review, or termination.

  • Market manipulation and deception: No fraudulent conduct, price manipulation, spoofing, or anything designed to distort the market or create false trading conditions.

  • Microscalping: Trades closed within 2 minutes of opening. Not a breach in itself, but any profit from them is deducted from your account. (Not applicable to Flex Accounts. For Flex Accounts, At each payout request, both of the following must be true for that payout cycle:

    • at least 50% of your closed trades were held longer than 1 minute, and
    • at least 50% of your net profit came from trades held longer than 1 minute.
    • If either is not met, the payout request is declined and all profit from trades held under 1 minute in that cycle is deducted from the account. This is not an account breach, and your account stays open.)
  • Exploiting pricing or feed errors: No profiting from mispriced quotes, lagging updates, feed latency, or data discrepancies. Using external or slower price sources (broker accounts, third-party feeds) for an edge is also prohibited.

  • High-frequency and algorithmic exploitation: No high-frequency systems, AI tools, tick scalping, or bulk order-entry that exploit execution speed or system inefficiencies rather than trade real conditions.

  • Arbitrage: No arbitrage of any kind — latency, hedge, reverse, or rollover/scalping — as it exploits structural inefficiencies rather than genuine speculation.

  • Coordinated trading: No coordinating trades to influence outcomes, whether across your own accounts or with other clients. This includes opposing or hedged positions across accounts, group trading, trade signaling, or sharing environments, devices, VPS instances, or IPs to enable linked trading.

  • Copying other users' trades: Copying your own trades is allowed subject to program limits. Goat Daily permits copying only between your own Goat Daily accounts. Copying other users' trades or signals — manually, via copy/mirror services, or EAs — is not. Someone else may be copying the same source, creating linked positions across unrelated accounts; where detected, all accounts and users involved may be suspended.

  • Gap trading: No trading to capture price gaps from market closures and re-openings.

  • Artificial trades to meet requirements: No token, undersized, or manipulated trades used to fake active trading days or bypass risk controls.

  • Volume inflation: No abnormally high trade counts or oversized positions on negligible price movement to inflate profit.

  • Non-viable strategies: No strategy that could not realistically be executed on a live exchange.

  • Responsible risk and position sizing: No staking a disproportionate share of equity on a single position, one-sided all-in bets, or account rolling. Keep sizing consistent with your strategy and balance — erratic, unexplained jumps (e.g., one contract then ten) may be treated as gambling rather than disciplined trading.

Goat Daily:

  • Evaluation: 6% target; best day no more than 40% of total profit, which requires at least three trading days in practice.

  • Funded: no winning-day requirement, no consistency percentage and no daily profit cap.

  • Manual trading only; no bots, EAs, automated, grid, martingale or high-frequency strategies. Copying is limited to your own Goat Daily accounts.

    • 100K: $1,500
    • 150K: $2,250
  • Hits 1–2 close positions and pause trading until the next session; the third hit within a rolling 30-day period closes the account.

  • At payout, at least 50% of net profit since the last payout must come from trades held longer than 60 seconds. Failure declines the request and deducts profit from trades held 60 seconds or less, without breaching the account. There is no separate trade-count test; tick scalping is prohibited.

  • No overnight or weekend holding; automatic close at 15:55 CT. Place at least one trade every 7 calendar days in either phase; seven consecutive days without trades breaches and closes the account.

Prohibited Practices

Hedging:

At DayTraders.com, we enforce strict risk management guidelines to promote transparent and fair trading practices. As part of these guidelines, hedging across accounts or within the same account is strictly prohibited.

What Does This Mean?

  • No Opposite Positions Across Accounts: Traders are not allowed to hold opposite positions (i.e., long and short) in the same or related instruments across different accounts. For example, if you go long on NQ (Nasdaq futures) in one account, you cannot go short on NQ in another account at the same time.
  • No Hedging in Related Instruments: Additionally, traders cannot hedge by taking opposing positions in related instruments, such as going long on NQ (NASDAQ) in one account and short on ES (S&P futures) in another account. Hedging between correlated markets or instruments is also not permitted.
  • No Simultaneous Long and Short Positions: Traders cannot simultaneously hold long and short positions on the same asset within any account, regardless of the trading strategy.

High-Frequency Trading (HFT):

At DayTraders.com, we maintain strict guidelines to ensure a level playing field for all traders. As part of these guidelines, we do not allow the use of High Frequency Trading (HFT) strategies on our platform.

What Does This Mean?

  • Manual Trading Required: High Frequency Trading (HFT) strategies that rely on the rapid execution of multiple trades within very short time intervals are not allowed. This includes trading systems or algorithms designed to execute hundreds or thousands of trades per second or minute.
  • Prohibition of HFT Algorithms: Any trading activity that involves the use of HFT software, algorithms, or systems aimed at exploiting price discrepancies in milliseconds or microseconds is strictly prohibited.
  • No Trade Overload: Excessive trade volume over short periods that is characteristic of HFT will be flagged and considered a violation of this rule.

Martingale:

At DayTraders.com, we maintain strict guidelines to ensure a level playing field for all traders. As part of these guidelines, we do not allow the use of Martingale strategies on our platform.

What Does This Mean?

  • No Martingale Position Sizing: Any trading strategy that involves systematically doubling or significantly increasing position size after a losing trade in an attempt to recover losses is strictly prohibited. This applies regardless of the instrument traded or the account type held.
  • Prohibition of Loss Recovery Strategies: Trading approaches that are designed to offset previous losses by exponentially scaling up trade size rather than making independent, merit-based trading decisions are not permitted on our platform.
  • Risk Management Compliance: All position sizing must remain consistent with sound risk management practices and must comply with the drawdown and position size limits outlined in your account rules. Using progressively larger positions to chase losses will be flagged as a violation of this rule.

  • The 10-Minute Re-entry Rule - Opening a new position in the same direction on the same asset within 10 minutes of closing counts as the continuation of the same trade idea.
  • Breach of this rule will result in a hard breach and termination of the account.
