The company is good, but the slippage and spread are deadly in this field. You have $200 left, and the daily minimum loss is between 30 and 50 pips. If you've calculated this, it will go the opposite way, and you'll lose your account in an unreasonable way.

I have traded with FTMO since 2010. I have no complaints, no hidden rules. No payment denial, unlike some scammer propfirms like FUNDEDNEXT and 5ers. No one urged me to do this review, but I believe it is necessary to do so because it's not only when we have a wrong experience that we come and do review. FTMO pays me each biweekly when I make profits. No concerns at all.

I spent over £53,000 purchasing FTMO challenges over an extended period and traded in good faith throughout. I followed the process, passed evaluations, reached live-funded accounts, and generated profit. However, when I became eligible for a payout, FTMO refused to pay. From a surface level, FTMO’s platform, trading conditions, and onboarding process appeared professional and well-structured. The dashboard, execution, and challenge format initially gave the impression of a transparent and credible firm. However, in my experience, this professionalism did not extend to payout eligibility or post-performance treatment. Despite FTMO later asserting that historical behaviour meant I was never eligible for a payout, they continued to allow me to purchase new challenges and accept my payments for months. Had I not reached the payout stage, there is no indication that my ability to continue purchasing accounts would have been restricted. This creates a concerning imbalance where payments are accepted without issue, but eligibility is only questioned once profits are generated.

Multiple denial reasons as my case progressed.
Resumen
Initially, the denial referenced alleged “bypassing” of restrictions and historical conduct. Subsequently, FTMO cited alleged overexposure on XAUUSD (12.8 lots), referencing specific trade IDs. Later communications introduced Max Daily Loss breaches on different dates and across different accounts, including accounts other than the one where the payout was built. These reasons were not presented consistently or simultaneously, and no single, clear, final basis was provided from the outset.

The professionalism and structure. No hidden rules, execution is solid, and the overall system feels very transparent. I also appreciate how disciplined the evaluation process is it really pushes you to trade properly and manage risk seriously.
The profit target during the challenge phase can feel a bit demanding, especially in slower market conditions. But at the same time, it makes passing more rewarding and meaningful.
