I participated in the Goat Funded Trader challenge and successfully reached Phase 2. Unfortunately, my account was later terminated for an alleged breach of terms due to “multiple geographical locations.” In reality, I was trading only from my own connection in Germany while using a Swiss NordVPN server for security. The compliance team misinterpreted this as unauthorized access and claimed my legitimate NordVPN invoice was “self-made,” even though it was a real document issued by Paddle.net – NordVPN’s official payment processor. The trading conditions and spreads were very good, and the dashboard was easy to navigate. The challenge rules were clear and transparent at the beginning, and the overall platform design looked professional.
The compliance and verification process was extremely rigid and unresponsive. Despite submitting real documents and offering full cooperation, I was accused of submitting a fake VPN invoice and of unauthorized access simply for using NordVPN for privacy. Communication felt one-sided, and my account was terminated without fair verification or dialogue.

What I liked the most about Goat Funded Trader is their flexibility in challenge models and the fact that they don’t impose a time limit on many of their evaluations. It allows traders to work at their own pace without pressure. Also, the profit split is very generous, and the trading rules are realistic, including allowing news trading and holding trades overnight — which many other firms restrict. These things make the trading environment feel more trader-friendly and fair.
What I liked the least about the firm is that some of the rules, especially around daily drawdown and account breaches, could be more clearly explained. Sometimes, it feels like certain violations happen without a detailed explanation, which can be frustrating. Also, the support response time can be slow during peak hours, and that adds to the confusion when you're trying to resolve something quickly.
