KYC verification failure and rule violation
Summary
At first, they claimed that my KYC verification had not been approved. After I proved that my KYC had already been successfully approved, they accused me of violating their rules. However, they have been unable to provide any evidence or even specify which rule I allegedly violated. Update: They still haven't given me my payout after I commented here, but they did give me my $207 fund purchase fee. I still don't think my problem is solved.

Hello Dilara, Thank you for your feedback. Regarding your payout request — during the risk interview conducted on March 10, our Risk Team identified activity that did not comply with our trading rules. Based on that review, the account was cancelled in accordance with our Terms and Conditions. We understand this isn't the outcome you were hoping for. Thank you for your understanding. IP sharing violation and Copy Trading
Summary
They suddenly terminated my account, accusing me of “IP sharing” and “copy trading violations.” My account was deactivated, and I lost access completely. I spent the next two months following up via email and even requested a Zoom call so I could prove my trades were legitimate. They refused every time, repeating the same generic response: “our system detected it and the decision is final.” The only “evidence” they provided was an Excel sheet showing just two trades. These trades were from my old (already breached) account, and even then, the details didn’t match—the account sizes, entry times, and exit times were all different. In fact, I entered those trades before the so-called “other trader” and exited earlier as well. This clearly disproves any claim of copy trading. I have no connection with any other trader, and I do not engage in copy trading. Their conclusion is baseless.

Hi, We would like to clarify the timeline and findings regarding your payout request and subsequent account review. Your payout request was submitted via Rise on January 29, 2026. As part of the standard payout process, customers are required to complete the Rise onboarding process before the payout review can begin. This is an external onboarding requirement and not a delay caused by our side. Our support team also assisted you throughout this process and provided clarification regarding the required steps. Once the Rise onboarding was completed, the payout review commenced. During this review, on 03/02/2026, your account activity was flagged and reviewed for prohibited trading behaviour. Following a detailed investigation, the account was confirmed to be engaged in copy trading activity in breach of our Trading Rules and Terms & Conditions. Supporting evidence relating to the violation was shared with you during our communication. We would also like to clarify that at no point did we reverse or withdraw our findings regarding the violation. Our position remained consistent throughout the review process. Regarding your concern that the trades could not constitute copy trading because your entries occurred slightly earlier than the compared account, please understand that exact timestamp matching is not the sole factor used in identifying copy trading behaviour. Our review confirmed that: 1. The trades were executed within an extremely short timeframe 2. The same instruments and trade directions were used 3. The opening and closing patterns were closely mirrored across accounts Additionally, differences in lot sizes do not invalidate copy trading classifications, as such variations can naturally occur due to account size differences, scaling methods, or varying risk parameters. Our systems assess the overall behavioural correlation and consistency of trading activity rather than relying solely on identical execution times or lot sizes. Based on the complete evidence reviewed, the activity matched established copy trading indicators and was therefore confirmed as a violation. As outlined in our Trading Rules and Terms & Conditions, all trading activity must be conducted independently. Any form of mirrored or replicated trading behaviour across accounts is strictly prohibited. Following multiple reviews by the relevant teams, the violation remains valid and the decision is final. Copy Trading Violation
Summary
My payout was denied because they accused me of copy trading, but I strongly disagreed since all my trades were placed manually. They showed a few comparisons as evidence, but I explained that my entries, prices, lot sizes, and exits were all different. I asked for clarification, and my case was escalated, but after waiting beyond 48 hours, they came back saying the decision was final based on an undefined “pattern across trades.” They didn’t provide detailed proof, specific trade analysis, or clear rules, and they refused to explain their method, saying it was confidential. In the end, my payout was rejected, my account was closed, and I wasn’t given any refund or real way to appeal further.

Thank you for sharing your experience, Hicham. We would like to have a conversation with you regarding the 'Copy Trading' flag and the manual review conducted on your account. To provide clarity on our Copy Trading and Group Hedging policies: our risk management systems look for high-correlation patterns across multiple accounts within our ecosystem. This includes not just identical trades but also sequences of entries and exits on the same instrument (like XAUUSD) that suggest coordinated activity or the use of shared signals. While we understand your points regarding differences in lot sizes and specific entry prices, our team assesses the overall 'trading footprint' to ensure the sustainability of our funded program. We hear your frustration regarding the transparency of our internal criteria. While certain methodologies remain confidential to protect the integrity of our risk systems, we want to ensure your appeal was handled with the attention it deserved. Please provide us with your email address at our Instant Funding support email so we can take one more look at the escalation notes and provide you with any additional clarity possible regarding the final decision.

Hi Oluwatoki, Thank you for sharing your experience. 🙏 We’re glad you appreciate the customer service, community, events, and improved dashboard, it’s always our goal to make trading as smooth and engaging as possible. Regarding the trade with the larger lot size, we understand that technical glitches can happen. However, as per our risk management policy, the rules regarding lot sizes are strictly enforced to maintain fairness and consistency across all funded accounts. Even though the trade was short-lived, it still fell outside the allowed parameters, which is why the Risk Team maintained their decision. We truly value you as a trader and hope you continue to benefit from the community, trading opportunities, and resources at Instant Funding. Your adherence to the rules ensures smoother trading and payouts in the future.

Summary
Denial amount > 2393$ Dear Trader, I’m reaching out regarding some recent findings on your account (3036986) with Instant Funding. Our monitoring systems have flagged a trade that exceeded the maximum lot size allowed under our trading rules. My reply The allegation suggests that three ETHUSD trades were open simultaneously, which combined would exceed the maximum lot size allowed. However, my cTrader records clearly show that these trades were executed and closed sequentially, not at the same time. Denial amount 4843$ , Dear Trader, I’m reaching out regarding some recent findings on your account (3036267) with Instant Funding. Our monitoring systems have flagged a trade that exceeded the maximum lot size allowed under our trading rules. Reply, This time, it’s even more blatant — at no point did I exceed the maximum lot size rule. On cTrader, the max allowed lot was 10, and I stayed well within that range. There is absolutely no breach here.

Rule Breached: Manual Breach Message: Prohibited Trading Style Detected
Summary
Instantfunding.io Denials My Payout $ 7000 and my account on Breach Manual then they give a new funded account with 1%risk rules. I was accused of trading one-sided betting even though I was funded account (722410) 100k size using 2% risk with small lots only maximum 2 lots, but I often use 1 lot size and long stop loss. So clearly my trade style is very far from what they accused. I thought instantfunding.io professional apparently they did not like profitable traders with large win rates. If instantfunding.io is professional, I should pay my payout then give me a reprimand with the hidden rules they want.

Breach of their Gambling and Over-leveraging rule
Summary
They suddenly terminated my funded account, accusing me of breaching their “Gambling and Over-leveraging” rule by risking more than 3% on a “single trade idea.” But here’s the truth: • I always used that strategy before for the 4 payouts • My trades were spaced hours apart, not simultaneous, yet they still claimed it was one trade idea. • They said I used identical lot sizes, but their own rules warn against changing lot sizes, even by 0.01, calling it martingale. So which is it? You can’t say different lot sizes are suspicious and then punish me for using the same lot sizes. I always stayed within the max lot size of 3, used a 2% global Equity Protector, and never closed trades beyond 2.53% loss due to slippage. This is not gambling—this is responsible risk management.

Fast Customer Support Responses – Support replies quickly and professionally. Payout Process (When Approved) – My first payout was processed smoothly. User-Friendly Dashboard – The interface is clean and easy to navigate.
Inconsistent Policy Enforcement – The VPS rule was not in my contract, only in website terms, which could have changed. Strict Payout Rejection – Other firms allow a review process, whereas here, I was instantly denied. No Second Chance for Clarification – Even after I provided full VPS ownership proof, there was no room for discussion. Spreads & Execution – Spreads are wider than competitors, and execution speed is slightly slow at times.

Using VPN
Summary
I recently requested a $11,456.05 payout, but it was denied due to my use of a VPS. I have previously received a payout with no issues, and I always ensured compliance, including reaching out to support regarding EA usage. The contract I signed did not mention VPS usage as a violation, but it is apparently listed in the website’s terms and conditions, which may have been updated later. Despite my full transparency and proof of VPS ownership, my payout was denied outright rather than reviewed fairly. Other prop firms I’ve worked with have reviewed similar cases and approved payouts after verifying trader legitimacy, which was not offered here.

Hi Qaseem, Thank you for your detailed review. We appreciate you highlighting both positives and concerns. Regarding the VPS issue, we understand your frustration. VPS use itself isn’t automatically a violation, but certain configurations can affect trade execution and are assessed by our Risk Team. We recognize that the restriction wasn’t clearly communicated in your agreement, and we agree that transparency is critical. If you’d like, the Risk Team can provide a detailed explanation of the technical basis for the decision and the specific rules applied. Your feedback is valuable, and we hope this can clarify the situation.

Hi Mellel, Thank you for sharing your concerns. We understand how frustrating this situation must feel, especially after reaching 6.5% on a 200K account following several months of trading. To clarify, accounts are always assessed based on the rule set assigned to them and active at the time the trades were executed. Rule updates are not applied retroactively to trades placed before their official implementation date. If your trade on 16 December exceeded 3% risk, the key factor is whether that specific risk parameter was already applicable to your account at that time. You mentioned being funded on 04 December 2024 and signing your contract under the 50% margin rule, with the 3% maximum risk per trade rule introduced later on 23 January 2025. If that is accurate, then trades executed prior to 23 January should be evaluated under the rules that were active for your account at that time, not under subsequently introduced parameters. In order to resolve this clearly, what matters is: - The exact rule set assigned to your account when it was issued. - The effective date of any rule changes applied to your specific account type. - The timestamp of the trade in question. - The precise calculation used to determine the alleged breach. If there has been any confusion between margin usage rules and maximum risk per trade rules, this can only be clarified through a detailed breakdown from the Risk Team referencing timestamps and the applicable contract version. We recommend formally requesting: - The version/date of the rule set applied to your account. - Confirmation of the rule’s effective date. - A timestamped exposure calculation showing how the 3% threshold was exceeded under the rule set active on 16 December. If your post-January trades were all within 2.25% risk as you mentioned, that is a separate matter and should not affect a December trade assessment unless explicitly defined in your original contract. We remain open to reviewing your case in detail if you provide your account ID, so we can ensure a transparent explanation is issued.

Max lot rule
Summary
Explaining in brief. I bought an account on around 6 January I started trading it and during then the company had 50% margin rule which they suddenly changed on 16th January and then they started assessing trades which we took even before that with that rule and that's a obvious scam. I have talked with 15 other people who suffered from denied payout. And over that they only give you option to account reset. Like if you bought a 5k account and made 10% you xan scale easily to 10-20k but after that when you request a payout they check minor mistakes you made even during 5k phase and deny whole payout and gives you option to reset your account. Rather than taking profit of that specific trade.
Documents From Reporter
February 24th, 2026
Hi Ayush, Thank you for taking the time to share your concerns. We would like to clarify a few important points regarding your case. Rule updates are implemented with a specific effective date, and accounts are assessed based on the rule set applicable to them at the time of the trades in question. If your account was purchased on 5 January and the trades flagged were from 15–16 January, our Risk Team would have reviewed those trades in accordance with the rules that were active and assigned to your account during that period. The 50% margin rule and the maximum lot size rule are separate risk parameters. If a maximum lot size rule was breached, even unintentionally, this would trigger a reset in line with our published policy. Resets are offered as a corrective measure rather than an automatic termination, and they are applied consistently across all account sizes. Regarding your concern about retroactive rule application, please note that we do not apply newly introduced rules to trades executed before the rule’s official implementation date. If you believe there has been a misclassification of your account type or rule set, we encourage you to request a detailed breakdown of the specific trades reviewed, including timestamps and the rule reference used in the decision. We also want to be clear that we do not require traders to remove reviews in exchange for account actions. Any resolution or reset offered is based strictly on policy and internal review outcomes. If you would like, please provide your account ID so we can ensure your case is rechecked for clarity and provide a transparent explanation of the exact rule reference and calculation used in your assessment.
