They run good promotions to get you in the door and it is not a monthly fee, you buy it once and the account is yours to trade. The rules are quite simple and fair, they're pretty standard and comparable to topstep or myfundedfutures. The payout times are very quick, usually within five minutes. Overall one of the top prop firms in the market.

Lucid Trading has made quite a few changes recently—especially to the Flex Challenge, which I really liked. However, the live program doesn’t seem as trader-friendly anymore, since accounts can be moved to live at any time. Unlike other firms, they don’t have payout caps, which is a big plus.One thing I genuinely appreciate is the direct interaction with AJ (CEO). They actually take trader feedback seriously, which is rare. I’d have loved to try Lucid Black, but it’s been removed. Hoping they bring back something similar with an even better structure and clear payout system.

I had a very bad experience with Lucid Trading. During a live trade, I was unable to manage or close my position because of issues with TradingView, which is a platform they actively allow and integrate with. The system simply did not let me close my orders, which directly resulted in my account being blown. What makes this worse is the response from support. They acknowledged that TradingView can have delays and reliability issues, but still refused to take any responsibility. Instead, they blamed me for using TradingView — even though it is a platform they support. Closing my account due to a platform execution issue, and then refusing to even properly review or resolve it, is extremely unprofessional. Be careful using this firm, especially if you are trading through TradingView.
