I’ve been trading futures prop firms for several years, and Lucid Trading stands out as one of the more trader-friendly firms I’ve used. The biggest advantage is the one-time evaluation fee instead of a monthly subscription, so you’re not paying while taking your time to pass. The thing I liked most about Lucid Trading was the payout system and trader-friendly rules. Payouts are processed very quickly once the requirements are met, which builds a lot more confidence than firms that keep traders waiting for days or weeks. I also liked the one-time evaluation fee instead of a monthly subscription, so there’s less pressure to rush the challenge. Another big positive is the end-of-day trailing drawdown, which gives much more flexibility for futures scalping and day trading. Combined with support for TradingView and Rithmic, the overall trading experience feels smooth and reliable.
The biggest downside is that Lucid Trading is still a relatively new prop firm, so it doesn’t have the long track record and reputation of more established firms .That can make some traders a little cautious at first. I also think the consistency and payout requirements could be a bit more flexible for aggressive scalpers. They’re fair overall, but you still need to manage position sizing carefully to avoid breaking the rules. Aside from that, I didn’t run into any major issues with the platform or execution.

My experience with Lucid became extremely concerning at the time of my **first payout**. I purchased several evaluation accounts, failed several through normal trading, continued purchasing accounts, reached funded status, lost my first funded account normally, and later achieved the required results on another funded account. The platform was easy to use, the trading rules were clear, and the evaluation process itself was straightforward. Support was also responsive during the initial stages. Unfortunately, my experience changed completely when I reached my first payout.
The lack of transparency and due process during the payout review. At my first payout, my account was locked, I was required to complete KYC again, and I was later permanently banned for alleged “cross-user hedging” and “fraud.” I categorically deny these allegations. Despite repeatedly asking for the supposedly linked account, trades, timestamps, IP/device evidence or any other proof, none was provided. I was simply told the decision was final. For such serious accusations and financial consequences, traders deserve clear evidence and a genuine opportunity to respond.

Summary
This was my first payout, approximately $1,650.60. When I reached payout eligibility, Lucid locked my account, required a new KYC through Plaid, and placed me under additional review. After the review, Lucid accused me of “cross-user hedging” with another allegedly linked account. I categorically deny this allegation. I asked Lucid to identify the linked account and provide the specific trades, timestamps, instruments, position sizes, IP/device linkage or any other evidence supporting the accusation. I was also fully willing to provide my own IP logs, device information, access records and complete trading history. No evidence was provided. Instead, Lucid permanently banned me, stated that the decision was final, and later issued an enforcement notice listing the reason as “Fraud.” I had never received any previous warning for hedging or coordinated trading. My request remains simple: show the linked account, show the trades and show the evidence.

I was a CFD trader but since i am trading nasdaq and heard about futures i just immediately started an eval at Lucid Trading which was recommended for me. Lucid are, in my opinion, the best firm out there. Never had any technical or financial issues with them. I've pulled out nearly 2k from a single 25k Pro account and payment has hit my WorkMarket account within 7 minutes every time. Their recent price increase has set them back a little bit, but still well worth the price. Please only trade the reliable firms such as Lucid.
