Summary
Yesterday, while I was trading, my account suddenly got closed. I then received an email stating that I had violated the 3% rule. However, they were referring to a trade from the previous day. I was continuously monitoring my dashboard, and I had kept a buffer of around $125. Based on the dashboard, my total loss was showing approximately $625 when I closed all my positions. My 3% limit is $725, so I was clearly within the allowed range. I tried to contact support to clarify the issue, but I keep receiving the same repeated response without any proper explanation.

We want to address your concern directly. The Risk Per Trade Idea rule tracks the combined loss across all positions grouped under the same trade idea — including both realised and unrealised losses. Critically, this also includes trades that were opened on a previous day and remain part of the same trade idea when they are still active or when new positions in the same direction are opened within the 10-minute window. Your dashboard showing a closed P&L of around $625 reflects the losses from closed positions only. However, the server-side data captures the combined loss across all positions — including any floating losses from positions opened the previous day that were still active — which pushed the total beyond the $750 threshold and triggered the breach. We also hear your frustration with the support experience, and we sincerely apologise that you did not receive the level of engagement your loyalty deserved. I successfully passed both evaluation phases and was granted a $50K master account. On my first trades, I took a position with a calculated risk of 1.96%, clearly below the stated 2% maximum risk per trade. The Risk Per Trade Idea calculation includes all costs associated with the trade — including commissions. This means that when calculating your total risk exposure, the commission charged on opening and closing a position forms part of the combined loss counted toward the threshold. This is documented as part of our trading rules. We understand that not accounting for commissions when planning your risk led to the $7.03 overage that triggered the breach. We acknowledge that commission costs should always be factored into risk calculations, and we are sorry if this was not made sufficiently clear before you began trading on your Master Account. Unfortunately, as the breach has been verified and the combined loss exceeded the 2% threshold, the decision stands. The Risk Per Trade Idea is a hard breach rule and no exceptions can be made based on the margin of overage. I have been trading with FundinPips for over 6 months now. After burning a few accounts, finally using the Master account and a few are in Phase I and Phase II.
