Sudden Leverage Reduction to 1:2 After Passing Funded Accounts
Summary
After successfully passing two funded accounts and following all of their rules, FundingPips suddenly imposed a forced leverage reduction to 1:2 on my master accounts. This was done after I proved I could trade profitably and responsibly. Their explanation was “risk management”, but I was already compliant with their rules and had no violations at all. Leverage restrictions should be part of the initial terms, not something a prop firm can change after a trader becomes profitable. Changing the trading conditions midway—especially after passing multiple funded challenges—feels like a selective and unfair penalty. Traders who perform well should not be punished for their success. This decision negatively affects my ability to trade the strategy that allowed me to pass in the first place. It also raises questions about whether the firm is penalizing consistent traders to avoid future payouts. A proper prop firm should reward skill, follow transparent rules, and not modify leverage “after the fact” without legitimate grounds.

My FundingPips account was abruptly and permanently suspended after being accused of copy trading, account management, and “trading in concert with others.” These accusations are completely false. The only “evidence” provided was one single trade on USDJPY, compared with another account. Even in that example, the trades clearly show different entry times, different exit times, and different prices. That fact alone rules out copy trading or coordinated execution. Trading the same highly liquid instrument on the same day is apparently enough for Fun...

My account was terminated without factual proof. There was no fair investigation, no transparency, and no meaningful opportunity to defend myself. I strongly warn other traders: even if you follow the rules, your account can still be closed without justification. This is a serious red flag.

Summary
My FundingPips account was abruptly and permanently suspended after being accused of copy trading, account management, and “trading in concert with others.” These accusations are completely false. The only “evidence” provided was one single trade on USDJPY, compared with another account. Even in that example, the trades clearly show different entry times, different exit times, and different prices. That fact alone rules out copy trading or coordinated execution. Trading the same highly liquid instrument on the same day is apparently enough for FundingPips to terminate an account. By that logic, a huge percentage of traders should be banned, which makes this enforcement look arbitrary and careless. I consistently close trades before the end of the trading day as part of my risk approach. Differences in timing and duration are normal and expected and do not indicate any form of coordination. FundingPips failed to provide any technical or objective proof, such as: - Identical execution timing - Synchronized trade structure - Shared IP addresses, devices, or APIs - Any verifiable linkage between accounts Instead of a proper investigation or an opportunity to clarify, FundingPips enforced a “zero tolerance” suspension and immediately terminated my account without transparency or fair review. This experience seriously damages trust. It feels like accounts can be removed based on weak assumptions rather than solid evidence, which is extremely concerning for any trader considering this company. I would strongly caution others to think carefully before committing time and effort to FundingPips.

Funding Pips is Trust Worthy and has a good reputation of giving payouts. But I found the spreads to be a bit fluctuating in gold. The spreads are less but the candle movement is too volatile compared to other firms. This results in booking lesser profits or your stop loss getting hit if you have strict stop loss. I will recommend fundingpips for everyone except scalpers.

My personal experience has been positive. =The only downside I’ve seen was with a friend whose account was closed due to an alleged IP rule violation. I was with him at the time and can confirm he did not travel out of the country as support claimed. The situation was handled poorly and lacked transparency.
