⚠️ Execution Issue & No Support Response – My Experience with Goat Funded Trader I am sharing this as a factual and documented experience so other traders can evaluate the risks before choosing this firm. 📊 Trade Details: - Instrument: XAUUSD - Entries: 4657.50 and 4659 - Total lot size: 0.07 - Stop loss placed at: 4669 (clearly defined risk) ❗ What Happened: My stop loss was not executed at the set level (4669). Instead, it was triggered at 4672, resulting in additional loss due to slippage. Because of this: - My defined risk was exceeded - A soft breach (2% floating rule) was triggered - My trades were forcefully closed - My payout was reduced to 50% - My account was negatively impacted --- ⚠️ Core Concern: In a prop firm environment: - Traders are required to follow strict risk and drawdown rules - I placed my stop loss specifically to comply with those rules However, when execution does not respect the stop loss level, the entire risk management becomes unreliable. This creates a serious issue: 👉 Traders are held to strict rules 👉 But execution is not equally reliable 👉 Result: Trader bears full consequence of something beyond their control --- 📩 Support Experience: - Multiple emails sent with full details - Issue clearly explained with trade data - Public review posted Result: ❌ No meaningful resolution ❌ Standard response attributing it to “normal slippage” ❌ No accountability for execution impact --- ⚖️ My Position: This is not about avoiding a loss. It is about fair trading conditions. I accepted the trade risk based on my stop loss at 4669. But the trade was closed at 4672, which changed my defined risk and caused account-level consequences. --- 📢 Current Status: Even after: - Detailed communication - Public review on Trustpilot There has been no proper response or resolution. --- 🧾 Transparency: I have full proof of trade execution, slippage, and communication records, and I am prepared to share them across trading communities. --- 🔍 Final Advice to Traders: Before joining any prop firm, consider: - How is slippage handled when it affects drawdown rules? - Is there accountability for execution discrepancies? - Will support respond fairly in critical situations? --- I remain open to a fair resolution. gft has proven to be an accessible and well structured prop firm for beginner and intermediate traders. The challenge process is clear, the dashboard is very intuitive and easy to navigate (best point of the platform). Trading conditions are reasonable, with competitive spreads on most major pairs and generally fast execution, although there have been some slippage moments on high-impact news. What I liked most about GFT was the dashboard. It's super intuitive, clean, and easy to use. I can see all the metrics (drawdown, profit, rules) clearly and in real time. This makes life much easier for a trader, especially for someone who is just starting out like me.
What I liked least was the customer support response time. Sometimes it takes several hours to get a reply, especially outside of business hours. This can be a bit frustrating when you need quick help.

I had a very disappointing experience with Goat Funded Trader regarding payout handling and rule enforcement. After generating ~$2,969 profit on a $25k account, my payout was fully rejected based on a claimed news trading violation, despite having evidence (screenshots and video from Forex Factory) showing no scheduled news at the time of entry. Additionally, all profits were removed, including ~$1,300 from trades completely outside any news window.
