I have never experienced anything like this in my years of trading. Hola Prime flagged my account (ID: 300XXXX) for a "2% risk limit rule violation" – but here’s the catch: I didn’t actually lose 2% of my account. When I asked for clarification, their support agent ("C****") told me that the breach was triggered because my Stop-Loss distance (not my realized loss) exceeded 2%. The firm (via support agent C****) stated your account was breached due to a "2% risk limit rule violation." The support agent provided this formula to explain the breach : "Risk = |Entry Price − Stop Loss| × Lot Size × Contract Size"
Resumen
The breach was not triggered by an actual realized loss (your trade's Profit/Loss had not reached -2%). Instead, the firm enforced a rule based on the potential risk defined by your stop-loss distance. Your account was breached because the parameters you set on the trade—specifically the distance between your entry price and stop-loss, multiplied by your lot size and contract size—exceeded 2% of your account balance. The support agent confirmed this interpretation directly: "It is correct. Usually, SL is not applied while you are still adjusting it. But, still we consider being more careful." This means the firm's system flagged and closed your account for exceeding the risk limit before the stop-loss was hit or any significant loss occurred. The rule is documented on Hola Prime's website as a hard breach rule : "Máximo riesgo por idea de inversión: 2% del saldo inicial" (Maximum risk per trade idea: 2% of the initial balance)

Dear Kaab, Thank you for taking the time to share your concerns. We would like to clarify that the breach on your account was correctly triggered following a detailed risk assessment in line with our 2% Risk Rule. As per our review, positions in your account exceeded the maximum allowable risk limit defined for your account. Under the 2% Risk Rule framework, the total risk exposure per trade idea must remain within the prescribed limit at all times. In this case, the exposure exceeded the permitted threshold, resulting in a breach. The purpose of the 2% Risk Rule is to evaluate the maximum potential risk a trade exposes the account to, rather than the realized profit or loss. We would also like to clarify that the 2% Risk Rule itself is publicly available within our Trading Rules. While the rules define the maximum permissible risk per trade idea, the calculation of risk exposure follows established industry risk management principles and is derived from objective trading data. We would also like to highlight that this assessment is based solely on objective risk calculations derived from execution data and is applied consistently across all accounts to ensure fair enforcement of our policies. Following this review, the decision remains final in accordance with our trading rules.
