My experience with FundingPips raises serious concerns about the transparency and fairness of their rule enforcement. The lack of clear rule definitions in the contract, yet enforcing violations based on unclear interpretations, undermines the purpose of the agreement and raises concerns about credibility and trust.

The account was closed due to a 3% risk breach, despite the contract not clearly defining how trades are grouped or how this rule is applied.
Summary
Lack of Clear Definition in 3% Risk Rule inside contract caused account closed – My Experience with FundingPips Master Account. I am aware of that such outcomes are ultimately discretionary also other cases where accounts were reinstated under similar circumstances, especially where contractual definitions were unclear. This makes it clear that the issue is not only the rule itself, but how it is applied. From my perspective, this raises serious concerns about consistency and fairness of fundingpips. I would like to share my experience with FundingPips, specifically regarding the 3% Risk Per Trade rule on a Master Account. While the overall platform and onboarding process are smooth, I encountered a critical issue related to the clarity and contractual definition of the 3% risk rule. In my case, I opened multiple small positions (0.02 lots) over time, with clear intervals between each entry, as part of a structured position-building strategy. These were not simultaneous entries, nor were they intended to create excessive exposure in a single moment. However, these trades were later aggregated and treated as a single “trade idea,” which resulted in a breach of the 3% Risk Per Trade rule and the closure of my Master Account. The primary concern is that the definition and application of this 3% rule were not clearly or explicitly specified in the contract. In particular, there was no precise explanation regarding: * how multiple trades are grouped into a single “trade idea” * what timeframe determines whether trades are considered one combined position * how risk is calculated across staggered entries Without these key parameters being clearly documented, the rule lacks a measurable and objective standard that traders can rely on when managing risk. From a trader’s perspective, this creates significant uncertainty. Risk management should be based on clearly defined and predictable rules. When critical elements of a rule are open to interpretation, it becomes difficult to reasonably anticipate how trades will be evaluated in practice. I fully respect the importance of strict risk control in proprietary trading firms. However, it is equally important that such rules are clearly defined within the contractual framework, so that traders can operate with full transparency and alignment. I hope this feedback highlights the importance of providing precise and well-defined rule structures, especially for key risk limits such as the 3% rule, to ensure fairness, consistency, and proper risk management for all traders.

Dear Patrick, Thank you for your detailed feedback. We appreciate the thoughtful way you have presented your concerns and want to address them directly. The Risk Per Trade Idea rule is not open to interpretation — it is clearly defined and publicly available in our FAQ before any account is purchased or traded. The rule covers three specific scenarios: First, single trades — the loss on any single trade must not reach the maximum Risk Per Trade Idea for your account size. Second, splitting a trade into multiple positions — if a trade is divided into smaller positions, the total combined loss across all those positions must not hit the limit. Third, the same trade idea — opening a new position in the same direction within 10 minutes of closing a losing trade is considered part of the same trade idea, and the combined loss must not exceed the limit. These definitions are objective and quantifiable, not discretionary. The FAQ is an extension of our trading terms and forms part of the framework all traders agree to when purchasing an account. We understand you feel the rule was unclear at the time of trading, and we are always looking at ways to improve how rules are communicated. However, the breach in your case was verified in accordance with these clearly documented rules and the decision stands. If you have any further questions, please don't hesitate to reach out at support@fundingpips.com. Best regards, FundingPips Team

One thing I really appreciate about Funding Pips is how clearly they define the maximum daily risk. It helps traders stay disciplined and avoid emotional decisions that could blow the account. The daily drawdown rule forces you to manage your trades carefully and think long term instead of chasing quick profits. While it can feel restrictive at times, especially during volatile market conditions, it ultimately builds better risk management habits. In my experience, respecting the daily loss limit has improved my consistency and helped me trade more ...

Based on my experience with this company, their customer service is fairly good and they are quick to respond to anyone. However, the slippage is bad and the spreads on some currencies are relatively high, but it's still manageable. They have a very easy-to-use and simplified control panel. Overall, it's the best forex company among all the funded companies, and I prefer this company. Thank you.

The account rates are reasonable and good, the daily and total losses are consistently good, they don't reject withdrawal requests, they have promotions every few weeks, and it's a very good company.
Slippage is rather bad, and spreads are high in some currencies. You also can't copy trades between companies with the same name.

My experience with Funding Pips has been very positive so far. The platform is easy to navigate, and the trading challenge rules are clearly explained. Setting up an account was straightforward, and I appreciated the step-by-step guidance provided during registration. Customer support was responsive and helpful whenever I had questions or needed clarification, which made the process much smoother. The trading conditions are fair and transparent, with clear profit targets and drawdown limits. I also liked the speed and reliability of withdrawals once...

What I liked most about Funding Pips is the ease of use and clarity of their trading challenges. The platform is simple to navigate, the rules are transparent, and customer support is very responsive. I also appreciated the fast and reliable withdrawals, which make the overall experience smooth and trustworthy
What I liked least about Funding Pips is that some processes, like account verification, can take longer than expected. Occasionally, it felt a bit slow when waiting for approvals, but overall the experience was positive.

The best feature of Funding Pips is the strict risk management rules. It forces you to think like a professional trader — protecting capital, staying consistent, and avoiding emotional decisions. Anyone can chase profits, but other firms trains you to survive and grow. That discipline is what separates gamblers from real traders. Affordable accounts. Clean and user friendly dashboard.
